Peril of Negligence

Negligence is the failure to do right what you have the mandate to do.*
Negligence is the failure to exercise a certain degree of care in order to minimize the risk of injury to another person.
A lot of people have died due to Negligence
Negligence is from the word neglect. Neglect is to fail to carry out a required action through the carelessness or by intention.

It is the state of being inattentive or indifferent
You are negligent when you refuse to give attention to details.

You are considered negligent your conduct or attitude is lazy and inattentive.
Negligence is responsible for most of the things we suffer.
We suffer because of negligence of people all over the world.
Focus creates blindness. it is what you are focused on that takes your attention.
Most of the calamitiesof life are caused by simple neglect by someone who was supposed to do his work but didn’t do it.
Just imagine if negligence and carelessness were eliminated.
There will be few damages…
Everything that will benefit you and others must be given your utmost attention.
Negligence is a very damaging characteristics that we must not exhibit.

If allowed, It ruins our testimony of love for Jesus
Negligence injures the man who works negligently.
Ninety percent of accidents are caused by negligence.
There are something’s we shouldn’t do, I but we do it because we think we are invincible.
A slack hand or a neglectful believer will result in fruitless Christian life.
There are those who are supposed to be walking in light and are sleeping in darkness.
If a believer stairs his ship carelessly, he will have a shipwreck.

Neglect will make you lose everything you could have had.
Every lady that is unmarried had the opportunity to marry but was neglectful.
Every man that is poor had the opportunity to get rich but was neglectful.
If you see anybody suffering today, he wasn’t meant to suffer , but somewhere along the journey, he failed to make some decisions and to take action for those decisions.
Every decision that had the capacity to change your life you refused to take, you suffer for it.
The church is suffering today because of the neglect of its members.
God frowns at Christians who neglect Christian fellowship.
The reason for this meeting to to comfort, share and Grow. When we do this, the word of God grows

When we are neglectful of the things of God, we insult God.
*Negligence kills others. It kills the zeal of others and it takes people lives* .
When you neglect to live up to the demand placed on you, everybody around suffers
If we are negligent of God’s work to be taught, you won’t escape from the evil that is happening to the World.
Negligence is what the world is suffering today.
If somebody did his work, the world will not be suffering like this.
There is no other way to please God than to give your 100% attention to Him.

Hebrews 12:1-2
Work while it is day for the night will come when no man can work.
We are not our own, we are bought with a prize.


If any man knows what is right to do but doesn’t do it, he is committing a sin
Reward is better than Award.

Men gives award but God gives reward.

People run away from their work because it does not appeal to their lust ( human ambition)
Rather than work for reward, they work for award.
Let us be careful.
Negligence makes the work difficult for others.
In division of labor, everyone has a place of function.
If everybody does their work, it gives others the focus to do their work.
If you do your work, it will Create the leverage for others to do theirs
But when you neglect it, I God won’t bless you. You will become a thorn in the flesh and a stumbling block.
How do you know you neglect God’s work?

1) It is when what you are supposed to do is not done thoroughly or properly.
Because of your personal ambition and drive, what you are supposed to do thoroughly, you do it badly. You can never focus until you cut out all the distractions.
Matthew 6:33.
Only those who knows the importance of God’s work reads every message that is broadcasted.
Some feel like it is a disturbance. They can recharge their phones for Big Brother but they won’t read this message.
2) Whatever you are meant to do is not done sincerely from your heart.
There are people you don’t need to follow up again. Then to sit back and criticize the work you refused to do is to add curse upon your curse
3) When your motive isn’t right.
Men are looking for Award not reward. You can fake things just to get awards. There are members in small churches whose tithes can take care of the pastor and his family but they won’t pay.
Song of Solomon 1:5-6
This ministry is our vineyard. To approach to get your people to flock into the house of God should be done every week.
Before you open your mouth to criticize something, find out if you have done everything to make it work.
4) When your work is not done earnestly
To be earnest means to be passionately honest in what you do. When a man loses his passion, he loses his drive. When the Ark was in the house of Abinadab, how did they treat it?
How do you treat the Ark of God in your house?
5) When the work is done hypocritically
If you pretend to do the work to impress somebody even if you know you are not doing the Work, you are being neglectful.
